A dory is a small , open, narrow, flat-bottomed and slab-sided boat that has been used around the coastal waters of NL for centuries to catch fish. A common sight was the dory being towed behind the trap skiff, a larger fishing boat. One or two of the fishermen could then get into the dory to haul the traps and empty the fish into the larger boat.
These stained glass dories are designed and individually handmade by NL artisan Shelley.
