An iceberg is a large piece of ice that has broken off a glacier or ice sheet and carried out to sea. An iceberg is made up of fresh water. Even though many of the icebergs are very large most of a majestic iceberg is below the surface of the water.The majority of the icebergs that float past NL have floated down from Greenland. Many giant icebergs float past Petty Harbour every year.
